Description
Sardine Fish Powder
The name “Sardine” is derived from the Italian island of Sardinia, where this fish was once abundant, which is how it got its name.
Sardine fish are oily fish rich in protein and vitamins, belonging to the northern mackerel family. Sardines are also found in Iran, primarily in the southern waters of the Persian Gulf near the coast and in shallow areas.
Sardine fish powder contains the highest protein content and the lowest Total Volatile Nitrogen (TVN), making it a high-quality nutritional product.
Fish powder production is carried out using two methods: sun-drying and land-drying, which typically takes around 10 hours under sunlight or less than 10 days depending on the method used.
Due to its high digestibility, sardine fish powder is widely used in aquaculture. It plays a significant role in the growth and nutrition of farmed aquatic animals and is also extensively used in poultry feed within the poultry industry.
Sardines are low in mercury and rich in healthy fats, as well as essential minerals such as iron and calcium.
